Baylou is a consumer health-coaching app operated by OMEGAX HEALTH FZCO ("Baylou", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. Baylou provides wellness coaching and education — it is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following, depending on how you use Baylou:
Information you provide
- Account details — email address and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (including via Apple or Google sign-in).
- Health and lifestyle profile — goals, weight and targets, calorie and activity settings, sleep window, body metrics, and the context you share so the coach can personalize your plan. You may also add optional notes (for example diet, routine, or medication context) that you choose to enter.
- Content you create — messages and questionnaires in the coach chat, voice conversations and their transcripts, day plans, logged meals and metrics, and photos you upload (such as a fridge photo used to suggest a shopping list).
Information from connected sources
- Device health data you choose to connect through Apple Health (HealthKit), Android Health Connect, or WHOOP — for example steps, weight, sleep, heart rate, or activity. We only read the categories you grant, and only while the connection is active.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — app interactions, feature usage, device and app version, language, and diagnostic events, collected through analytics tools to operate and improve the product.
- Subscription status — whether you hold an active plan. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google (in‑app) or our payment processor (web); we do not receive or store your full card details.
2. How we use your information
- Provide the service: generate your daily plans, run the chat and voice coach, track progress, and send reminders and notifications you enable.
- Personalize coaching to your goals, profile, and connected data.
- Manage your account, subscription, and access to premium features.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the product, and understand which features help.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. AI processing
Baylou uses artificial intelligence to generate coaching, plans, and responses. The inputs you provide — your messages, profile, logs, voice, and connected data — are processed by our coaching systems and trusted AI model providers acting on our behalf to produce your guidance. AI output is general wellness coaching and education; it is not a medical decision and is not a substitute for your clinician. We do not use your content to make health decisions about you or to provide diagnosis or treatment.
4. Health and sensitive data
We treat the health and wellness information you enter or connect as sensitive and handle it with additional care.
- We use it only to provide and personalize your coaching, and only with your permission.
- You control connected sources and can disconnect Apple Health, Health Connect, or WHOOP, or revoke permissions, at any time in your device or app settings.
- Apple Health (HealthKit) and Android Health Connect data are never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties for their own purposes. We use them solely to deliver the features you ask for.
- Some profile fields (such as medical, medication, or mental‑health notes) are optional. You decide what to share, and you can edit or remove them.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your health data for third‑party advertising. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers (processors) who run the product under our instructions — for example cloud hosting, authentication, database and file storage (Google Firebase), real‑time voice infrastructure (LiveKit), AI model providers, and product analytics and attribution providers. They may process data only to provide their service to us.
- App stores and payment processors (Apple, Google, and our web payment processor) to handle purchases and subscriptions.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
- Business transfers — if Baylou is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with continued protection under this policy.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and afterwards only as required to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or de‑identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required. You can export or delete your data from within the app.
7. Your rights and choices
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data in the app's privacy and security settings, and manage notifications and connected health sources at any time.
EEA / UK
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to certain processing. Our legal bases are your consent (for health and connected data and optional features), performance of our contract with you (to provide the service), and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the product). You may withdraw consent at any time.
California
If you are a California resident, you have rights to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use sensitive information beyond providing the service. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

8. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. Account access is protected by authentication, and sensitive features can require re‑verification. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and regulators of incidents where required.
9. International transfers
Baylou is operated by OMEGAX HEALTH FZCO and uses infrastructure that may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
10. Children
Baylou is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
